NEW ZEALAND DIVISION

Sir,—l wish to comment on Mr Holland’s suggestion about our New Zealand Division visiting Britain. I am one of many patiently waiting soldiers’ wives who is living for the day our division returns home and I fan to see why Mr Holland wishes us further delay, especially when our men are so desperately needed in New Zealand for producing and enabling more food produce to go out to Britain and the starving peoples of the devastated countries. I am quite aware that many single boys with no ties or responsibilities would appreciate the visit immensely, but on the other hand there are many, too, who are living for the day they return home and anxious to forget war and settle down to normal life in which they would be of more help than making conditions more impossible in our Motherland. —Yours, etc » A SOLDIER’S WIFE. May 18. 1945.
