There seems to be no end to the uses of penicillin, for recent experiments with this wonder drug by American scientists reveal that penicillin will cure plant diseases, says a writer in the “Daily Mail,” London. Even the dreaded crown gall, known as the cancer of the plant world, yields before its magical healing powers. The germs are destroyed after penicillin has been painted on the infected part, and the growth of the plant remains uninjured.
