BRACKENFIELD HUNT CLUB
REORGANISATION DISCUSSED The possibility ol reorganising the Brackenfleld Hunt Club in the, near future was discussed at the annual meeting of the club in Rangiora yesterday. The master (Mr H. M. Burgin), who presided, said as the end of the war was in sight the suggestion would come soon that bunting should start again. Some preparation should be made, and it would be necessary to have a keen and energetic master to start collecting hounds and obtaining kennels, and reorganise the club generally. He was unable to offer his services for such a task, but he hoped that the club would elect a new master for the purpose. , , „ _ Mr I. Menzies suggested that Mr W. S. Wright take over the position as master, but it was decided to elect Mr Burgin provisionally, and hold an extraordinary general meeting at Rangiora early in July, when it was hoped to , have a better attendance, to elect a new master and make plans for recommencing the activities of the club. Mr Wright said the hunt should continue for the benefit of the younger members. - ... Mr W. Parsons and Mr Menzies agreed that the club should resume activity as soon as possible. It was decided to invest £IOO in the Victory War Loan. Votes of thanks were passed to the honorary secretary (Mr W. C. Prosser) and the auditor (Mr C. I. Jennings) for their work during the year. The following officers were elected; —president, Mr M. Bethell; master, Mr Burgin; committee, Mesdames B. Rutherford, S. Douglas. A.
