DOG TRIALS AT DOMETT

' FIELD DAY FOR RED CROSS FUNDS A successful field day, organised by the Domett-Ethelton farmers in aid of the Domett Red Cross funds, was held on Mr A. Glllanders’s property recently. There were large entries and the weather was ideal. _ Mr J. Paton was Judge and Mr W. H. Robinson was time-keeper. As a result of this effort the funds of the Domett sub-centre of the Red Cross Society will benefit by approximately £3ft Results were as follows: Class I.—Head, bring back, and hold m ring; A. Gillanders’s Mass. 53 points. 1: J. E. Ensor’s Cash, 49 points, 2; G. McAdams’s Fly, 48 points, 3: P. F. Childs’s Wisk. 47 points, 4; J. D. Fleming’s Sharp. 44 points, 5. Huntaway with slew: P. F. Childs s Dust, 55 points, l; W. T. Jackman’s Rough, 54 points, 2; C. Denton’s Blue, 53 points, 3; P. Brophy’s Rdy. 52 points, 4; J. Laugenson’s Rack, 52 points, 5. Special awards.—Most points tor both events: Mr A. Aubrey. 158 points. Dog scoring most points in both events: E. Turpin's Mac. 73 points. Competitor with one entry in each event: P. F.
