It was also decided- to. ask Mr J. I*. Loveridge, one of the Canterbury selectors, ■to tour with the team. . ■ . It was decided that the Junior games arranged to be played last week but postponed because of the weather,-should be played next Saturday. > . The permit committee reported that a number. of clubs had not registered the transfer of players, and that.’one club had played a senior player in a second grade team.: . 1 . . ' '' The chairman said that during the war years the union had overlooked minor irregularities: but clubs must now understand that the rules of ttfe union must be observed. .' ■ . . , The coaching committee recommended that the New Zealand Rugby Union be asked to forward as soon as possible the pamphlets dealing with scrum formation. ~ „ . . it-i Mr W. Maxwell, who presided, said the pamphlets would help towards uniformity in scrum work, and on receipt the coaching commmittee could proceed with its On behalf of the New Brighton Club, Mr J. N. Clarke presented to the union an enlarged photograph of Corporal C. R. Kilworth, who was killed in action at Cassino last year. „ > In accepting the photograph, Mr Maxwell said Corporal Kilworth, who was a member of the Canterbury representative team in 1941 and 1942, set an example on and\>ff the field to, all young players.
