FRIDAY > (Before Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M.) ADMITTED TO PROBATION Robert Frederick Woodstock (Mr O. J. Hewitt), aged 21 -years, a soldier, was admitted to probation for two years on a charge of converting to his.own use a motor-car valued at £6OO, the property of Woolston Tanneries, Ltd. Detective-Sergeant A. A. Herron said accused had been admitted to probation to the Supreme, Court that morning on other charges, but as the car converted had been damaged he asked for restitution of the sum of £S. The Magistrate ordered that restitution be made.. TRAFFIC BREACHES Noel Alexander Berry and George Arthur Skelton were each fined 5s for not displaying tail-lights on their motor-cars. Allan Harry Manson was fined 10s for driving a motor-car without lights at night. For riding an unllghted cycle Robert Brown was fined 10s. Thomas Desmond Glubb, a pedestrian, was fined 10s for proceeding against the street traffic signals. For attempting to cross a railway line when a train was approaching Albert Moor Hartnell was ordered to pay costs. ~~***"~**~**~. i
