APPEALS AGAINST SERVICE
DECISIONS ANNOUNCED
Appeals against military service were heard yesterday by the No. 10 Armed Forces Appeal Board in Christchurch. Members of th£ board were Messrs R. A. Cuthbert (chairman), H. C. McCaw, and G. M. Hall. Mr W. C. Mayson was secretary and Crown representative. Decisions were as follows: L. G. Smart (20th Century Tailors), adjourned sine die: J. H. Rawlings (H. W. Smith, Ltd.), dismissed; C. G. Parris (Addington Timber Company), held over; A. F. de Lisle (C. C. Lamb), held over; D. O. Allred (Packer and Jones), dismissed conditional on reservist not being called up before April 30; M. Vance (Packer and Jones), dismissed, conditional on reservist not being called up before March 31, 1945; N. A. S. Cairns (Packer and Jones), dismissed: W F. Costello (Public Works Department), adjourned for review on March 31; R. H. G. Hawke (Andrews and Beaven, Ltd.), dismissed conditional on reservist not being called up before May 31; M. G. Collie, reserved: R. N. Sutherland, adjourned sine die; E. Hawley, dismissed conditional on reservist not being called up before February 28; A. J. Beaumont (Sinclair. Melbourne and Company), reserved.
