ADJOURNMENT OF THE HOUSE

BREAK OF THREE WEEKS LIKELY (From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, October 11. Information that the House of Representatives should be able to adjourn on October 27 for three weeks was given to' members, by the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser) this evening. He said it might be necessary to sit longer hours. The House spent all to-day on estimates, passing Votes for the Mines Department, State Coal Mines, Printing and Stationery, the " Marine Department. and the Transport Department before adjourning at 11J35 p.m.
