PAPANUI BEAUTIFYING ASSOCIATION
The annual meeting of the Papanui Beautifying Association was held at the Oddfellows’ Hall. Papanui. Mr F L. Drury presided. The following officers were elected:—patron, Mrs R. E. McDougall; president, Mr F. L. Drury; vice-president, Mr'H. Tillman: honorary secretary, Mr ;B. L. Dailey; treasurer, Mr K. Wilson; honorary auditor, Mr W. F. Baynes; committee, Messrs T. Jeal, A. Ashby, J. Sturrock, S. Smith, E. C. Nicholson, J. Kettle, L. Barnard. T. Haberfield, C. Thompson, G. H. Wood, E. J. Pimm, H. Candy, and J Smith. The dates for tye judging of the garden competition were fixed for the second week in October and the first week in February.
