Sir,—The widespread belief is that there is something wrong with the manner in which the Returned Services’ Association is administered. The minority of members who take an active interest in the association feel that little progress can be made while the present methods are allowed in an out-moded constitution. It is true that the country members appear to control the election, Rangiora and Kaiapoi are major associations and yet Christchurch has sub-branches away north of Rangiora. These sub-branches should be attached to Rangiora. The present postal ballot is expensive and inefficient. Why not have a polling booth at the association rooms and everyone cast a personal vole?
