FRIDAY (Before Mr E..C. Levvey, S.M.) REMANDED On a charge of stealing a brpoch, pen-, oil, and half a pound of butter of a total value of £2 3s 3d, the property of Avis O’Brien and others, Lancelot John Clay Healee, a hotel porter, was remanded until June 15. < TRAFFIC BREACHES For riding cycles at night without Tights Wilfred Gordon Aston, Michael. John Bell, Samuel Escott Beasley. Brian ’ Douglas Cochrane, William Robert Corner, William Francis Talbot, Denis Watson, and Alfred John Williams were each fined 10s. On a similar charge Joy Cowan, Chatles’William Douglas, Leonard Knight, and Rona Marlon Marsh were each ordered to pay costs. For not having a warrant of fitness for his motor-car, Raymond Allen was ordered to pay costs. For driving without due care and attention, John Thomas Berry was fined £2, Edgar William Gossett 20s, and Ellen May McGrath 10s. For failing to give way Ernest Walter Purchase was fined 20s. CIVIL COURT THURSDAY (Before Mr F. F. Reid, S.M.) Minnie J. Wilson was ordered to give possession of a tenement to Albert Bunt by June 20. H. Cattan was ordered to pay Robert Francis, Ltd., the sum of £4 9s 6d forthwith. In default four days’ Imprisonment.
