VICEREGAL (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 9. The Governor-General (Sir Cyril Newall) and Lady Newall, attended by Major H. A. Jaffra’y and Flight Lieutenant H. A. Eaton, returned to Wellington 1 from the north this morning. The Hon. David Wilson, New Zealand High Commissioner in Canada, has .left for New Zealand because of the serious illness of his wife.— Ottawa, June 8. Mr J. K. Moloney has been elected vice-president of the New Zealand Olympic and British Empire Games Association in place of Mr Rex J. Hobbs, who died recently. The Rev. Wesley Chambers, the newly appointed minister to the Richmond, Shirley, and Marshland Methodist Churches, was inducted to the pastoral charge on Thursday evening at the Shirley Methodist Church. The service was conducted by the Rev. J. H. Allen (Superintendent of the Christchurch East Methodist Circuit). Major Guy C. Felton, V.D., accountant and paymaster for the Southern Military District, is retiring after 30 years’ service in the pay branch. Major Felton first joined the Army in 1898 as a volunteer. He was camp paymaster at Trentham during the Great War, and was later transferred to Army Headquarters, -where he served until 1925, when he was transferred lo the Southern Military District.
