CHOLMONDELEY HOME
At the Cholmondeley Memorial Children’s Committee meeting, held recently, the president, Mr E. A. Adams, presided. A motion of sympathy was passed with Mrs W. Green in the illness of her husband, A grant of £l5O from the J. R. McKenzie Trust Board was acknowledged with sincere thanks. The matron reported that the health of the children had been excellent. The pictures shown by Mr Hepburn had been much enjoyed by the children and staff.
Gift!; to the home during the two months wore greatly appreciated. The children attended by invitation of Amalgamated Theatres, Ltd., a special screening of “Bambi," and the outing was made possible by the generosity of members of the Automobile Association, who provided transport to and from the theatre. The matron reported that one little girl at the home for seven weeks’ stay had gained 12jlb. and another had gained ll?lb during a sta.v of eight weeks. The secretary reported 34 children had been admitted since the last meetr ing.
