FACILITIES FOR STOCK
IMPROVEMENTS AT ROSS RAILWAY STATION
The Minister of Railways has informed the Hon. J. O’Brien, MJP. for Westland, that it is intended to provide an additional bolding yard and a sheep drafting race at Ross, and also to concrete one additional sheep pen for the purpose of giving increased facilities for handling stock at the Ross railway station. Ross is the nearest rail-head serving the South Westland district, which has been noted for its ever-increasing consignments of stock in recent years.
