HOME GUARD PARADES
Sir,—Would you kindly inform me if compulsory quarterly parades of the Home Guard are not intended to be of six hours. If a full day parade is intended, should not this be advertised as a voluntary parade? Would it be in order to advertise a parade as a compulsory quarterly parade and then have a.full day parade?— Yours, etc CLOCKWISE. August 6, 1943. [Southern Military District Headquarters states that the instructions which have been issued compulsory quarterly parades shall consist of one full day’s parade of six hours (which is exclusive of time spent in travelling to and from the place of parade.) ]
