Purifying Sea Water.—A Toronto war factory, collaborating with a naval research unit, has designed a device for the extraction of salt from sea water by freezing it. The machine is at present too heavy to be carried in other than regulation lifeboats. It will withstand any weather and is not affected by immersion in sea water The machine is hand-operated and is so simple that a child could use it.— Toronto. June 27.
