ON FRIDAY, the 2nd DAY OF JULY. 1943, at the Council Chambers, Culverden, to make and levy the following rates:— 1. A general rate of one penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property appearing on the Valuation Rolls of the said County. 2. A special rate of two twenty-fifths of a penny in the pound on all rateable property in the Waiau Halls Loan Special Area. 3. A Special Rate of seventeen-eightieths of a penny in the pound on all rateable property in the Mandamus (Tekoa) Bridge Special Area. AND in accordance with the provisions of “The Water Supply Act. 1908": 4. A water-race rate of three-quarters of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all class “A” lands, a rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all class “B” lands and a rate of one-eighth of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all class “C” lands in the Balmoral Water Race District. 5. A water-race rate of seven-eighths of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the Waiau Plains Water-race Area. SUCH RATES to be for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1943. and ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1944, and shall be due and payable in one sum on the first day of September, 1943, at the County Office, Culverden, where the Valuation Rolls are open for inspection during Office hours.
