HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

annual report “All the shows this season have been well up to the standard of previous years, and in all cases have received increased support from members of the society and from the public," states the annual report of the Canterbury Horticultural Society. The Bledisloe Challenge Trophy was awarded for the first time at the spring show, and was won by Mr G. Lewis, continues the report. A satisfactory position is disclosed by the financial statement, the excess of income over expenditure during the year being £39 12s 2d.
