WAR PENSIONS
Sir,—Your leading articles on the Budget are critical, laying little or no stress on a benevolent Government which is introducing higher war pensions and social security benefits generally. Being a war pensioner of 1914-18, I think it only right that someone in my category Should express "thanks” to Mr Nash. In vain one has looked for some expression of thanks in your columns, since the Budget was printed. Since no other returned soldier has done so, let me say “Thank you, Mr Nash” for all beneficiaries.— Yours, etc., NORTON WRIGHT. June 8, 1943.
