SirMr George Ingram- should read “The Press” a little more carefully, as the “General News” item quoted by him does not refer to Christchurch or Canterbury, as was very clearly stated in the paragraph. The appeal for tin in Christchurch has been by mo means disappointing. Chemists, grocers, and department -stores have co-operated most willingly in the appeal and there is already more than three hundredweight of tubes at our depot.—Yours, etc., JOHN STEWART, * Chairman.
