Sir. —It is rather regrettable that the Lyttelton R.S.A. should entertain the idea of banning the burials of returned soldiers in the soldiers’ plot unless they are members of the association. There must be hundreds of members who literally got on the boat and came back, and yet a soldier who has seen years of hard fighting and is not a member is barred from the honour of being buried with his comrades.
