INQUEST OPENED
An inquest was opened yesterday before the Coroner (Mr E. C. Levvey) into the death of Patrick Nolan, aged 58 years, of Styx river, Brooklands. Nolan was found dead at his home on Saturday. After evidence of identification had been given, the inquest was adjourned sine die. A post-mortem whs ordered. Heavy snow 101 l at Arthur’s Pass on Saturday. Snow fell again on Sunday giving a depth of three or four inches, but it was disappearing yesterday morning. Train passengers on Saturday experienced snowfalls all the way from Cora Lynn to the Pass.
