INQUEST ON SEAMAN

An inquest Into the death of Mablin Anthony Nilsen, a naval rating who died from injuries received when he fail between a ship and the wharf on Tuesday morning, was opened at Lyttelton yesterday by Mr F. F. Reid, Coroner. After evidence of identification had been given the inquest was adjourned sine die. A naval funeral will be held at Lyttelton this morning. After Requiem Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, the burial will take place at the returned services’ plot at the public cemetery.
