BURWOOD HOSPITAL VISITING
Sir,—Recently my husband was admitted to Burwpod Hospital for tonsillitis. When visiting I was told I could not be admitted to the ward as it was isolated. Another woman was allowed to visit a marine in the same ward. Can anyone tell me why marines are allowed visitors when the soldiers are not—even their wives? Surely there must be some explanation.—Yours, etc., WONDERING.
April 7, 1943. [The matron of the Burwood Hospital, commenting on this letter, says that should the correspondent care to communicate with her an explanation will be given.]
