Sir—Permit me publicly to thank you for the publicity given .and action taken in this matter, and the Army authorities also for the quick and clear response to my inquiries, especially ~i respect to the particular points raised in my letter, There can be little doubt that, while anomalies still exist, and further improvements require development, notably regarding injuries receivecj when travelling, in uniform.. to or from an authorised parade, the information so far given by the responsible officials in to-day’s issue of The Press" will do much to allay many of the fears of most Home Guardsmen and their dependants.—Yours, etc., J.
