STOCK EXCHANGE MARKETS QUIETER The inquiry for New Zealand Government Stock issues was maintained when a further parcel of the 3 per cent. 195356 issue was sold on call at the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday morning at £99 ss. Manufacturers, 6s 9d; 200 New Zealand Paper Mills, 37s 9d; 100 Broken Hill Pty., 41s 9d. Markets generally were more quiet, but there were some advances in prices in the miscellaneous section when 84s Was bid for New Zealand Farmers' Coop. (Ist pref.) and Macduffs ordinary market firmed to 9s 3d buyers, 9s 8d sellers. New Zealand Paper Mills advanced to 37s 9d when 100 shares changed hands, but buyers were not satisfied.
