CHURCHGOERS AND OTHERS
Sir, —-I do not wish to add much to what I have already said on this subject, nor to press my views further. They were submitted with the idea that they might be of interest to your readers. ‘‘Tolerance" is rather behind the times: it is the rarest thing nowadays to hear any reference whatever to other denominations from our pulpits. His way of salvation is a very ancient one. ‘‘Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart and in the sight of thine eyes"; but let him finish the text, "But know thou that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.” Judgment! A fairy tale of the parsons, I wonder whether “Toleroncc” ever roads the newspapers.— Yours, etc., BAD CHRISTIAN. P.S.—“lmagination” in my previous letter should have been “inspiration.” January 12, 1943, [This correspondence is now closed. — Ed„ “The Press.”!
