TWO ANNIVERSARIES CELEBRATED
MASONIC LODGE AND ORDER (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 24. The New Zealand Pacific Masonic Lodge, at its thousand and ninety-first meeting in Wellington last night, celebrated its hundredth birthday, and incidentally the centennial of the establishment of the Masonic Order in New Zealand, on November 23,1842. The first master and founder of the order 'n New Zealand was Mr George Smith, who arrived by the ship Sir John Falstaff, in June, 1841.
