Gin Imports.—The Canterbury Chamber of Commerce has been advised that where orders for gin have been declined by suppliers in the United Kingdom consideration will be given to granting authority to import, within the licence held for imports from the United Kingdom, an equivalent quantity from Australia. A proviso is that the total quantity ordered for delivery from the United Kingdom and (or) Australia under sixth or seventh period licences does not exceed the quantity imported under fifth (1941) licences.
