MEN DISCHARGED FROM ARMY
* mON. A. H. NORDMEYER’S REPLY TO REPRESENTATIONS Replying to representations made to him by Mr Clyde Carr, M.P. for Timaru, about men discharged from the Army being placed on Social Security, the Minister of Health (the Hon. A, H, Nordmeyer) wrote that he regretted it was not yet possible to make provision for larger payments than those already laid down. He added that it was considered that such cases were adequately provided for under the Social Security Act and War Pensions Act, as far as present circumstances would allow.
