ENGAGEMENT
The engagement is announced of , Myrtle Joyce, eldest daughter of Mr , and Mrs W. West,, Christchurch,,. to Charles Kitchsidn Le£ch, eldest son - of ’ Mr and Mrs R. C. Leach, Woodville. At the monthly meeting of the ; Christchurch Free Kindergarten As- , sociation, with Mrs H. T. J. Thacker ■ presiding, the principal reported that ’ many children had suffered from ! measles during the month, that Dr. 1 Needham had medically examined the children at the Selwyn and Riccarton kindergartens, and had given advice to their parents, that girls from St Margaret’s College had been “observing" ■ at the kindergartens, and that applications had been received from the Girls’ High School and the Technical College for the same privilege for their pupils.
