NEW U.S METHODS OF TREATMENT NEW YORK, Nov. 20. “New methods of treating war wounds have resulted in an astounding reduction in the death rate,” said RearAdmiral Mclntyre, Navy SurgeonGeneral. He added 'that the United States Navy was losing less than 1 per cent, of wounded at Guadalcanar, compared with 7 per cent, during the last war. Injections of sulphanamide and blood plasma on the battlefields and swift aerial transportation to hospitals were largely responsible.
