POLLING DAY PROBABLY IN JANUARY (P.A.) WELLINGTON, November 20. The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser) announced to-day that, because of the intervention of the Christmas holidays, it would not be possible to make the necessary arrangements to hold the Christchurch East by-election until the New Year.
