PLANS FOR TASMAN TERCENTENARY
CELEBRATIONS IN SOUTH. WESTLAND Arrangements for the Tasman tef* centenary at Okarito, in South land, are now complete. Represent*! lives of the Dutch and New Zeaiano Governments will be present at ceremony on December 12. . - The party will arrive at Hokitika Wspecial rail-car on December 11, will be entertained in the evening W the borough of Hokitika and counjy of Westland. The official party vm* number 14. It is expected that *n® Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon, P. ** ser) will arrive by air at Franz Josw on the Saturday morning. The putm ceremony will commence at 2 and in the evening the official psjw will be entertained at dinner at irai Josef by the Westland County youn cil. If possible a church service Franz Josef will be arranged for oun day morning. On the return l°“ rn K to Wellington, a celebration will held at Takaka. and in the Nelson ais trict a park will be dedicated to * memory of the Dutch explorer.
