MAGISTRATE’S COURT
FRIDAY (Before Mr E. C. Levvey. S.M.) INTOXICATED IN CHARGE Edwin Arthur Blackwell, a watersider. aged 31, pleaded guilty to a charge ol being intoxicated in charge of a motorcar. He was fined £lO, and ordered 1,0 pay costs, his present driving licence was cancelled, and he was prohibited from obtaining another for 12 months. A statement by Inspector E. J. McJarrow said that he stopped Blackwell when he saw a motor-car being driven erratically in Stanmpre road. Blackwell staggered when he got out of the car to look at a bicycle tied on the back.

Neumann, 10s; Leslie Charles Spriggs, costs only; William Chattaway Woodward, 10s. Failing to give way: Herbert William Ackers, £2; Albert Edward Scarlett, £2; Allen Donald Whyte, costs only. No warrant of fitness; Albert Edward Scarlett, 10s; Henrv Thomas Oldfield, costs only: Allan Donald Whyte, 20s; Francis Thomas Love, costs only. No driver’s licence: Albert Edward Scarlett, 10s.
CHILDREN’S COURT In the Children’s Court, at which Mr F. F. Reid, S,M„. presided, a youth was placed under the supervision of the Child Welfare Officer for two years, when he pleaded guilty to a charge of breaking, entering, and stealing £l2 9s 3d in cash. Two youths were fined 2s for cycling without lights.
