“DON’T TALK”
Sir,—“ Silence for All” says we give information to the enemy over the air in the 9 o'clock news session. That is absurd. I listen every night to it and it is a repetition of the overseas news from London and they just do not give information; it is censored. Women to my mind are the worst culprits in saying thoughtless things without thinking beforehand, and some men apd even soldiers are nearly as bad. I was in a shop one day and overheard a woman say that her son was transferred to Auckland and was assembling such and such aircraft. She should never have said that. I was a complete stranger to her and how was she to know —Yours, etc., DIGGER. August 11, 1942.
