Broken Hill Proprietary.—Subject to audit net profit, for the year ended May 31, 1942, from trading was £379,885, to which is to be added £307.826. income from investments, etc., making a total of £687,711 for the year. These figures have been arrived at after providing £1,025,013 depreciation, £750.000 provision for income tax for the current year, and £550,348 for special depreciation of plant, machinery, etc., connected with war-time activities. The balance-sheet will show a withdrawal of £585,281 from general reserves to meet excess taxation not previously provided for. Radio (1936) Profit.—The accounts of Radio (1936) for the year ended June 30 show a net profit of £5201, compared
with £6718 in the previous year, and £6898 in 1940 The directors propose a dividend of 9d a share compared with Is in each of the three preceding years. —P.S.S. Huddart-Parker Dividend.—Huddart-Par-ker, Ltd., have announced an interim dividend, payable on September 17. on preference shares, of 3 per cent., and on ordinary shares of 5 per cent. —(P.A.)
