MOTOR-TRUCK STRIKES
TRAM ♦ A tramcar on the Riccarton line was badly damaged when it was hit by a motor-truck at the' Matipo street stop on Thursday night. The tram was stationary at the time. No one was injured. , , , In his report, the driver of the tram stated that after the accident the truck continued down the road, leaving a trail of broken glass, bottles, and crates from Matipo street to Clarence road. The side panels and windows of the front platform of the tram were broken, , , , „ The matter is in the hands of the nolice.
