ALLIED SUBMARINE'S SUCCESS
65,000 TONS OF SHIPPING SUNK LONDON, March 15. From Australia comes news of an Allied submarine which has reached port there after sinking 65,000 tons of Japanese shipping. The vessel made a 60-day voyage, of 6000 miles, in IndoChinese, Philippine, and Malayan waters. Although she was bombed, dive-bombed. and depth-charged she suffered only minor damage.
