THE PRICE OF MANURE
Sir.—As a wheatgrower, Ido not object to the rise in price of manure of 2s to 3s a ton. Mr S. G. Holland, M.P. said: “Here we have one Minister asking for increased production and another Minister throwing a spanner in the works by asking for increased costs, which must prejudice the success of the scheme.” I think that the spanner should be taken away from the Minister altogether. The increase in cost an acre is less than 2d. Some increase! Some span-
ner!—Yours, etc., T. E. PEARSON. Hororata, March 12, 1942.
