A Labour Legislation Suspension Order prescribes the scale of wages for female shop assistants in the grocery trade in New Zealand, and also the manner in which female assistants are to be classified for the purpose of the proportion clauses which deal with the proportion of youths and junior assistants to senior assistants. Female assistants employed since before January 1, 1941, who were in receipt of higher rates than those corresponding to their ages, are not to have the rates reduced, so long as they remain in their present employment
