COMBINED ORPHANAGES STREET DAY TO-MORROW
The Annual Street Appeal on behalf of the Combined' .Anglican, Presbyterian. and Methodist Orphanages will be held to-morrow. In past years the Orphanages’ Street Appeal has always met with a sympathetic response, and it is. hoped that to-morrow’s effort also will be generously supported. Through the medium of the Orphanages, on whose behalf the appeal is made, a large number, of needy and under-privileged children are well cared for. A substantial portion of the money necessary to carry on the work of the Homes is provided by the Churches concerned, but an appeal to the general public each year is necessary to make up the difference: The Committee organising the Appeal requests that the “Bread Envelopes” issued in connexion with the recent Radio Concert that have not been called for, be put into the collection boxes to-morrow. —i
