INTERRUPTION TO BROADCAST
HITLER DENOUNCED AS MURDERER
LONDON, August 24. Persistent interruptions of last night's main German news and music programmes from the German radio station by an anti-Nazi announcer have caused great interest in London. The mysterious voice, which is loud enough to be heard above the voice announcing the official news, shouted: "It is all lies! Two million Germans have already been killed, wmunded, or captured in Russia. How long are Germans to be sacrificed? This will go on till Germany is bled white. "Hitler is the criminal murderer of the flower of the German nation. Germany has always lost a war on two fronts, and the result will not be any different this time. A fine swindle has been thrust on you.” The wireless writer of "The Times” says that if the anti-German propagandist who broke into the broadcast did not use the official announcer’s microphone, it seems clear that a microphone must have been put into the circuit at some point between the Berlin studios and the Zeesen station, which is on the distant outskirts of the city. The voice broke in three times, first for six minutes, and twice more for a minute or two, with the greetings, "Listen. Here is the man from the clouds.” , The German radio to-night told its listeners that the strange voice was “Soviet propaganda cutting in on our news broadcast.” It was claimed that such interference was nothing new. The Germans did the same during their war against Poland.
