(P.A.) DUNEDIN, August-21. When Archibald Clark, farmer, of Waitati, sent in an,.appeal. against .the, .enlistment of his son, hoping to retain his services through the spring work, he made the mistake of giving the application to his son to post. Since the latter, Ronald Archibald Clark, whs keen to serve, he neglected to. post the letter. Consequently, when later an appeal by the .Director of National Service enable,d-the father to state his case to the Appeal Board .today, the son had been ■ training for seven weeks, and had concluded his leave a week ago. Dismissing the appeal, the chairman said it was too late to-interfere.: ■ '• ~
