Sir,—Now that “Citizen" has let us know he is a returned soldier, he makes his case worse, as he should by now- have learnt what discipline means. These' “orders,” as he terms them, are. not locally made, but come from the same authorities he served under. • -. Incidentally !, too, served in the last war at 16 years of age, No. 31928. Regarding his remark about “ordering housewives,” let it be stated that as oUr hours are from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., most of the visits are made to “househusbands”; .in fact, in 80 per cent, of the calls made husbands have: been home, and,! have not had any criticism so far in my area; it depends on the tact and patience of the warden, which latter la often tried by thought lefe people.—Yours, etc., , ONE OF THE WARDENS.
