C.Y.C. TO PARADE ON SUNDAY
A new rang 6 at Waimairi will be used for the first time on Sunday, when the machine-gun section of the Canterbury Yeomanry Cavallry will commence live-round practice. The parade will be under the command of Major G. W. Logan, who is in charge of Headquarters Squadron. Suitable men are being trained by this unit to replace non-commissioned officers and instructors who have been called in recept ballots. In the spring bivouacs will be held throughout Canterbury, and instructon will be' .given in map-reading, musketry, and general dismounted training, At the present time sand tables are being used, and valuable work in elementary tactics is done.
