MfLean, Waipu, North Auckland, The engagement Is announced of Shirley Evelyn, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs C. A- Trlges, Spreydon, to Rex Heathcote, youngest son of Mr and Mrs H. Pascoe, Spreydon. '
A frost of 14,5 degrees was recorded at Walmate yesterday morning. This Is the heaviest frost so far this winter. A recording of 13 degrees occurred oh June 9, and was the highest previous figure.
