BRITAIN’S WAR EFFORT
Sir,—To suggest that Labour’s failure fully to implement its mandated ,programme would eventually result in J. ; A.: Lee being entrusted witii the direc- ■ tion of oiir country’s destiny and that the subsequent sudden imposition of drastic semirrevolutionary and unassimllable legislation would imperil our national etc., constitutes,an admission that J. A. Lee would-present a policy which would find an appeal among the electors who had previously considered that .they obeyed the dictates 1 of their common sense in supporting- the Labour Government’s policy and had been disappointed. Political History has yet to record one case in which a goyerrunent has been voted out Lor, keeping rigidly tp its . electioneering promises.—Yours, ete- a.W. GRAINGER. Ashburton. June 5, 1941.
