—♦ — FIFTH SERIES OP MATCHES The fifth series of matches In the Christchurch Miniature Rifle Association’s' winter tournament were fired this week Most of the senior matches resulted in close contests. Returned Soldiers, who put on 548 to beat Supiner by one point, had one of the top totals foi the series, being only exceeded by United, who defeated Cashmere with a total of 549. Christchurch Working Men's Clu v put on one of their lowest totals for several years in annexing 545 against the Marist Rifle Club Disputed targets were decided as follows:—E. Cunningham (W.M.C.) 10.
