KAIAPOI SEAT
—« — NATIONAL PARTY CANDIDATE FOUR CONTESTANTS FOR SELECTION There are four contestants for selection as National Party candidate for the Kaiapoi seat at the General Election. After the four men have met party supporters in various parts of the district it is probable that the selection will be completed early next month. The four prospective candidates are Messrs G. C. Warren (who contested the Kaiapoi seat unsuccessfully in 1038). M. E. Lyons (Deputy-Mayor of Christchurch). R. G. Brown (a city councillor), and Colonel S. C. P. Nicholls. The Kaiapoi seat is held for Labour by Mr C. Morgan Williams.
